Connecting Families Australia: Providers Moving to myID and RAM by 2026
You might have heard of NDIS PRODA, myGovID, and RAM if you help someone you care about or run services through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Three helpful digital tools that make it simple and safe to get to and use NDIS services.
But on December 7, 2025, NDIS providers will have to log in and take care of their accounts in a whole new way. The NDIS Commission says that myID (the new Digital ID app) and RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager) will take the place of NDIS PRODA.
Connecting Families Australia works with families, coordinators, and providers all over Australia to make these systems easier to use while making sure your digital access is safe, legal, and ready for the future.
What does the short form NDIS PRODA stand for?
Provider Digital Access is what PRODA stands for.
It was safe to log in and prove who you are online with Services Australia. PRODA lets people and businesses safely use a lot of government services, such as Medicare, NDIS provider portals, and Health Professional Online Services. With just one verified digital identity, they can do all of this.
In a nutshell:
- Your official digital key is NDIS PRODA.
- It tells people who you are and links you to safe NDIS sites.
- It protects private information about participants and providers.
With PRODA, you can:
- You can safely log in to the NDIS Provider Portal.
- Send in claims or change the information about the people who are taking part.
- With just one verified account, you can decide who can use staff and services.
It’s important to know what PRODA does because it lets you use NDIS systems online. Providers need to know what’s changing so they can be ready for what’s next.
NDIS PRODA Moving to myID and RAM (2025–2026)
NDIS providers will start switching from PRODA to myID and RAM on December 7, 2025. Digital identity is a project that the Australian government is working on to make online access safer and easier. This is part of that work.
What’s different
- NDIS Commission portals will no longer use PRODA.
- Providers will log in with the Australian government’s myID app.
- People who are allowed to act on behalf of businesses will still be able to use RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager) with their linked myID.
- NDIS Portals That Are Affected
- Portal for Registered Providers
- Where to Apply
- Portal for Providers Who Don’t Have an Account
- Quality Chequers Portal.
- Changeover schedule
Note: The start date is December 7, 2025. The last day is September 30, 2026.
Note: After September 30, 2026, you won’t be able to use NDIS PRODA to get to these sites.
Providers should set up myID and RAM as soon as possible to make sure the change goes smoothly and the NDIS doesn’t have to stop working.
