I just wanted to thank you for all the work you have done for Child Safety.
The way Connecting Families worked together has been hugely beneficial when transitioning young people out of the care of Child Safety.
By supporting children in care with NDIS funding and being able to support them in the same house when they turn 18 has made transition much smoother and less stressful for these young people.
We commonly see services supporting either children in care or adults with NDIS funding. If services do provide both then they are unlikely to work together and the young adult still has to move at 18.
Connecting Families unique way of working with children with NDIS funding ensures a better outcome for children exiting Child Safety and less stress for the care team.

Connecting Families have all been just absolutely amazing. Thanks again for all your care for Joshua.
Julie
For the first time since Ben has resided in any supported accommodation, l can finally say, I’ve done the right thing.
It’s taken a long time to get to that point & to see him so happy & achieving so much in such a short time since moving in, l feel a lot of the guilt I’ve been carrying is finally subsiding.
Thank you to all of you for everything you’ve done to ease that burden I’ve carried for so many years.
Ben is finally ‘home’.
